NAPDA loves to bring people together to share experiences, culture, heritage, food, music and more. Our mission goes beyond a party. We strive to make every event meaningful, informative, and a positive for the community of Edmonton.
Over the last 130 years, NAPDA has documented and displayed the history of the early settlers of the Northern Alberta Region. In recent years, NAPDA has been working with Indigenous communities to identify ways to expand our archives and include the Indigenous story and experiences in our displays. We are excited to say, that in 2025- The Edmonton Heritage Council has approved an application for funding towards our Shared History Project. During the year, we will once again ask the Indigenous community to form an Elders Counsel, to guide our project.
